This policy explains what information Mawble collects, how we use it, and what choices you have. Questions: privacy@mawble.example.

1. Who we are

Mawble is a marbles game distributed as a web application and mobile app. In this policy, "we", "us", and "Mawble" refer to the game and its operator. "You" refers to the player.

2. Age requirement

Mawble is intended for players aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

3. Information we collect

• Account information. When you register, we store your email address, display name, and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the identifier they return and your display name; we do not receive your password.
• Guest identifier. If you play as a guest, we generate an anonymous player identifier and store it on your device.
• Game data. Your marble stack, matches played, match results, cosmetic items you own, and any settings you've saved.
• Multiplayer data. When you play online, we exchange your display name, in-game moves, and connection identifiers between you and other players in your match.
• Purchase data. If you buy marble packs, we record the purchase and the platform receipt so we can credit your account.
• Basic technical data. Server logs may record IP address, request timestamps, and errors, for a limited retention period, for security and troubleshooting.

4. How we use your information

• To run the game: matchmaking, saving progress, and showing leaderboards.
• To process purchases and prevent purchase fraud.
• To keep the game safe from cheating, abuse, or suspicious activity.
• To communicate about your account or important changes to the service.

5. Sharing

We share the minimum needed to operate the game:

• Other players in your match see your display name and in-game moves.
• The public leaderboard shows your display name and lifetime marbles won if you are signed in.
• Payment processors (Google Play, Apple App Store) handle purchases according to their own terms.
• Legal requests. We may disclose information if required by law.

6. Retention

Account and game data are kept while your account is active. Server logs are kept for a short period (typically 30 days) for security and debugging. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to keep transaction records for tax or legal reasons.

7. Your choices

• Access and delete. You can request a copy of your data or delete your account by emailing privacy@mawble.example.
• Play as guest. You can play the entire single-player game without creating an account.
• Notifications. You can disable notifications on your device.

8. Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account is compromised, contact us immediately.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes we will notify you in the app or by email. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the current version.
